INFUZED is the children’s ministry of Parkview Baptist Church in Decatur, AL.

We believe that what goes on in the home is more important than what goes on at church. We know that parents are the most influential forces in a child’s life. We also know that the vast majority of parents (99.99%) want what’s best for their kids as well as to make sure their kids have a healthy spiritual upbringing. We believe that the family can do something wonderfully well that the church can’t always do so well – love unconditionally.

On the other hand, the church is tasked with shining the light of the truth of Christ into a dark and desperate world. As a children’s ministry, we are called to “equip the saints” – kids especially, but also teens and adults – with what they need to live a faith-filled life. We believe that the best way to accomplish that is through the FAMILY.

Our experience is that parents often know they should be doing something, but they aren’t exactly sure where to begin, what to say, what to focus on, etc. When it comes to spiritual matters, however, we know there are some things we can all improve upon.

So where do we begin? At the beginning, of course. But we must always keep the end in mind. We want to partner with parents to continue to write God’s story on the hearts of children. With each new chapter of life come significant moments in the story of a family when faith can be shared, nurtured, and grown. People often call these significant moments Milestones.  As a church, we want to partner with you, the parents, to make the most of these Milestones to have the greatest impact on the life of your child.

We also want to equip you by synchronizing our efforts at church with your efforts at home.  We want to help you know how to talk to your kids about God and faith and help them understand how to live out their faith in everyday life.  We call these times God Sightings.  And yes, we understand it is difficult to plan for the best times to have a spiritual conversation with your kids.  As parents ourselves, we know that these conversations can often be sporadic and spontaneous.  But failing to have any kind of plan often means we fail to have any kind of conversation.  So we want to help you synchronize the natural rhythm of your family life with resources specifically designed to lead you and your kids into faith conversations that are can be spontaneous or planned or both.

Everything we do is purposefully designed to help you write a legacy of Wonder, Discovery, and Passion with your kids as we transform the world one family at a time.
